- Grilling, frying, broiling, and boiling are always supervised by an adult.

- Washers/ dryers are serviced as required.
- The dryer is cleaned and lint-free after every use.
- Water heaters are examined timely and serviced/ replaced as needed.
- Everyone is taught never to place metallic or metallic-looking objects in the microwave.
Electrical Safety
- All electrical cables, cords, and wires are sealed, unbroken, uncut, and in working condition.
- All electrical outlets are functioning correctly and do not spark or heat up.
Escape Plan
- There is a fire escape plan with two ways out of every living space.
- The escape plan is visible in the main living spaces.
- Everyone knows where the safe meeting place is outside the home.
- The household practices the escape plan at least twice a year.
